Precautions for using desander

When using the desander, the following matters need to be noted to ensure the normal operation of the equipment and the effective treatment of the drilling fluid:

1. Installation and fixing

- Horizontal placement: Place the desander base horizontally and firmly fix it to the appropriate position on the tank with an appropriate pressure plate. Note that the screen box outlet should protrude 20-30mm from the tank edge.

- Connect the pipeline: Use a hose or steel pipe to connect the inlet and outlet intact, ensure that the inlet and outlet pipes match, and minimize the length and bends of the pipeline to reduce resistance.

2. Inspection and preparation

- Bolt inspection: Before use, check whether the bolts of each part are loose and whether the vibration shaft rotates flexibly. If there is any abnormal sound or fault, it should be eliminated in time. It can only be used after confirmation that it is normal.

- Power supply check: Connect the motor belt, turn on the power supply, and check whether the motor rotates in the correct direction to ensure that the equipment runs in the predetermined direction.

3. Startup and commissioning

- Startup sequence: Press the "screen start" button to start the vibrating screen. After the slurry surface height of the slurry storage tank exceeds the top of the pump, press the "pump start" button to start the slurry pump. Check whether the discharge pressure of the slurry pump meets the requirements, and check the sand removal effect and whether there is any leakage in the cyclone.

Parameter adjustment:

- Motor direction: Check whether the direction of the motor is consistent with the direction of the arrow on its shield, otherwise the vibrating screen will not discharge sand.

- Pressure gauge pressure: There is a pressure gauge on the discharge pipeline of the pump, and the working pressure is 0.25-0.3Mpa. When it is lower than 0.2, it will cause the upper screen plate of the vibrating screen to run (discharge with high water content). When this problem occurs, you can check whether there is a problem with the seal of the pump, replace the sealing packing, and compact it slightly. Another reason is that the impeller is too worn and needs to be replaced.

- Amplitude adjustment: Adjust the amplitude as needed, usually by adjusting the eccentric blocks at both ends of the motor shaft in the same direction and angle, generally 60-80% of the maximum exciting force.

4. Operation and maintenance

- Screen maintenance: The tension of the screen should be appropriate, and the screen should be flat and wrinkle-free after tensioning. The screen should be cleaned after shutdown to prevent the mud and sand from drying and affecting the next use.

- Vibration motor lubrication: The vibration motor needs to be lubricated once every 1500-2500 hours, and the amount of oil injected into each bearing is 5-10ml.

- Slurry pump: No idling and reversing are allowed.

- Cyclone cleaning: When the cyclone is out of service for a long time, it must be cleaned with clean water to prevent dry sand from accumulating in the cyclone.

- Liquid inflow: It cannot exceed the calibrated processing volume on the equipment nameplate. If there is too much liquid, it will overflow from the tank. This can adjust the butterfly valve switch of the liquid inlet pipe.

- Sand content: When the sand content is too large, the pump will be greatly worn and its life will be shortened to about 10 months.

5. Shutdown and maintenance

- Shutdown sequence: When shutting down, press the "Pump Stop" button to stop the operation of the slurry pump. Let the dewatering screen run for a while until the cyclone is empty. Press the "Screen Stop" button again to stop the operation of the vibrating screen. The drilling fluid in the cyclone should be completely drained to prevent solidification or freezing.

- Daily maintenance: Check whether the inlet pressure meets the requirements, ensure that the small holes are clean, and make appropriate adjustments. At the same time, lubricate the desander pump and slurry pump packing, and check the inner surface wear of the wear-resistant rubber cone bushing.

- Regular maintenance: According to the use time and equipment condition, carry out maintenance work in different cycles, vibrating screen (cleaning screen) and slurry pump (tightening bolts, checking seals)

1)Shift maintenance-every 8 hours of operation

2)Weekly maintenance-every 120 hours of operation.

6. Other precautions

- Operation specifications: Operators should be familiar with the equipment performance and instruction manual, and operate in strict accordance with the operating procedures.

- Safety protection: When the equipment is running, attention should be paid to safety protection to avoid accidental injuries.

- Records and feedback: During use, equipment operation records and fault feedback should be kept to timely discover problems and take measures to solve them.

By following the above precautions, the normal operation of the desander and the effective treatment of drilling fluid can be ensured, and the quality and efficiency of drilling projects can be improved.
